Panthers Tickets Info

Carolina Panthers tickets are sure to be one of the most demanded NFL tickets this year as the Panthers look poised for a comeback in 2006. John Fox and company are looking for the title of "Comeback Kids", and Bank of America Stadium will be "Comeback Central" for holders of Carolina Panthers tickets.

Only two seasons ago, Carolina fans were lining up for Super Bowl tickets. Then, in 2005, the Panthers supporters probably thought they had bought tickets to watch "E.R." Injuries to key players like running backs Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster and wide receiver Steve Smith tormented the hard-luck Panthers during the 2004-05 NFL season and led to a 1-7 start. But, under head coach John Fox, the Carolina Panthers refused to give up. Led by quarterback Jake Delhomme and a stingy defense, NFL ticket holders watched Fox rally the troops for victories in six of their last eight games to set-up a win-and-get-in game with their NFC South rival, the New Orleans Saints in the final week of the NFL season.

More than 73,000 fans purchased NFL tickets for the showdown with the Saints, which turned into a microcosm of the Panthers' season. Carolina dug itself a hole early. With the Panthers allowing touchdown runs by Aaron Stecker and Deuce McAllister, New Orleans built a 14-3 halftime lead. The resilient Panthers though, electrified Bank of America Stadium with a dramatic comeback. Delhomme threw two touchdown passes in the second half and orchestrated a last-minute drive to tie the game. With only 50 seconds remaining in the game, the Panthers drove 56 yards in five plays to set up a potential game-tying field goal. But John Kasey's 60-yard attempt was blocked, giving the Saints a 21-18 escape, and those holding NFL tickets a clearer view of the NFL playoff picture.

The Panthers strong finish to the season, along with the return of a healthy Smith and the addition of 246-pound rookie running back Eric Shelton, will have fans gobbling up Carolina Panthers tickets in expectation of a return to the playoffs and possibly another run at the Super Bowl.

The 2005-06 Carolina Panthers schedule provides ticket holders with a plethora of tasty match-ups. The Panthers will have chance at revenge to open the season, as the Saints return to Bank of America Stadium on Sept. 11. Fans who buy 2005-06 Carolina Panthers tickets also will be treated to home games against Tom Brady and the defending World Champion New England Patriots on Sept. 18, and in what could be Brett Favre's last game at Bank of America Stadium, the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 3. Tickets for the Dec. 4th game, when the Panthers host Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick and division rival Atlanta will also be a hot commodity.

Carolina Panther tickets have provided football fans with a roller coaster ride over the last two seasons, but after the scary plunge of 2005, the coaster car is heading up again for holders of 2006 Carolina Panthers tickets.
