About Creed

Creed was co-founded by lead vocalist Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti. Joined by bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips, the band emerged from Tallahassee, Florida, in 1994 and swiftly gained recognition for their ear-catching fusion of post-grunge and hard rock. 

Their band’s breakthrough came with the release of My Own Prison in 1997, but they reached the pinnacle of their success with Human Clay in 1999. The album achieved diamond certification, and the chart-topping single "With Arms Wide Open'' catapulted the group into the global spotlight.
