The Utah Utes Basketball Schedule

Once you make the decision to see a live game, we highly recommend reviewing the docket to determine which opponent will give you what you want in a matchup. The Utes basketball schedule includes traditional conference clashes, showdowns with state rivals, and confrontations with potential contenders. Any game can be fun, but a few adversaries attract more attention than others.

Key Competitors

  • Brigham Young University: The Cougars have had a storied rivalry with the Utes, but BYU’s cohesive team focus and strong outside shooting can't always break through Utah's defensive adjustments. This makes for exceptionally intriguing encounters!

  • Utah State University: In a highly-anticipated state skirmish, the Aggies bring their own brand of physicality. These meetings usually feature a blend of Utah State's spirited play and the University of Utah's strategic responses, adding an extra layer of excitement.

  • University of Notre Dame: The Fighting Irish, with their winning tradition and balanced attack, deliver out-of-conference contests worth watching. Their games against Utah are heavy on suspense, pitting two clubs skilled at efficient ball movement against each other.

  • Arizona State University: The Sun Devils' fast-paced, high-energy style contrasts sharply with Utah's more calculated approach. Their duels are Pac-12 battles at their best, highlighting the overall competitiveness of the conference.

  • University of Washington: Face-offs against the Huskies are focused on Washington’s dynamic speed vs. Utah's disciplined strategies. The athleticism of the players is on full display as each squad pushes the other to its limits.

Jon M. Huntsman Center

The Utes play basketball at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on campus in Salt Lake City. Since 1969, this facility has hosted up to 15,000 spectators for sporting events. It is possibly best remembered for the classic duel that went down during the 1979 Final Four, featuring Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. These days, aside from hoops, it hosts gymnastics meets and volleyball matches.

Parking

Multiple lots are available in the vicinity of the venue, but spaces fill up quickly on event days, so plan to arrive early. To improve your chances, we highly recommend reserving parking when you buy your Utah Utes basketball tickets.
