• Chris Mullin (1981–1985): Drafted 7th overall by Golden State, Mullin's sharpshooting and basketball IQ made him a five-time NBA All-Star. He won two Olympic gold medals, one with the US Dream Team in 1992, and was a pivotal part of “Run TMC” with Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond. The trio led the Warriors to five straight playoff runs between 1988 and 1993.

• Bill Wennington (1981–1985): Drafted 16th overall by the Dallas, Wennington spent six years in the NBA, with the Mavericks and the Kings, before moving on to Italy’s Virtus Bologna. He had his greatest success with the Chicago Bulls, signing with the team as a free agent in 1993. He won three titles (1996–1998) and became a radio color commentator for the franchise.

• Mark Jackson (1983–1987): Chosen by the New York Knicks in the first round of the 1987 draft, Jackson made a quick impact, earning Rookie of the Year honors in 1988 and being named to the All-Star team in 1989.
